Rotary Polling
It consists of the use of a set of equipment that works in a mechanized way, drilling rocks, in a cylindrical shape, through its cutting action. It is the procedure that allows samples and fragments to be removed from the deepest levels of the soil being studied and, due to its automation and specialization, it is one of the most concrete and used means for the qualification of rock massifs.
This type of sounding is associated with the mixed type when performed with SPT, a type of equipment that helps in collecting samples of the soils and terrains investigated.
Of its most important advantages, and which must be constantly observed, are: Drilling with inclination angles, which guarantee greater mobility, well-applied depth of reach compared to other types of drilling and accepts the execution of loss tests of water in massive rocky terrain.
