The extraction of Columbite (Niobium and Tantalum) is done by slicing the earth and scraping it, to the point of forming overlapping layers of several meters each, in the form of immense steps. The earth scraped in the mine (reddish medium and visually common) is transported through a conveyor belt to the beneficiation plant.
